Jessica Lucas is new CSI Las Vegas girl?

CSI has added a new member to its Las Vegas forensic team and she comes in the form of Jessica Lucas. While many might speculate that the inclusion of the 21-year-old Canadian actress is replacement for Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox), it has been confirmed that this is not the case.

As an addition to the cast of CSI, rather than a substitute, Lucas will be portraying a young CSI named Veronica Lake, instead of the originally reported Vivian Lee. According to the Hollywood Reporter, she is also referred to as “Ronnie” and is described to be young, smart and bubbly. She is also a sought-after newbie in training who gets multiple job offers but chooses to go to Las Vegas because of the increase in crime rate there.
Jessica Lucas, who is set to make her appearance during the third episode of CSI's season 8 entitled "Go to Hell," has been in a number of movie and television roles. Aside from playing Sue Miller on the drama series Life As We Know It, she is also credited for being part of The Covenant, Edgemont, She's the Man and Split Decision.

Jessica Lucas was born and raised in Vancouver , British Columbia having been acting since she was only seven years old. Beginning her professional training with Children's Theatre Arts. She earned theatre credits in local productions of "Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs," "Grease," "Cinderella," "Mousetrap" and "Music Medley."

She was also a series regular on the popular Canadian teen show Edgemont, along with Kristen Kreuk.

Jessica, reportedly, has been added to the cast of CSI for the 2007 season.

Lucas currently resides in Vancouver, enjoys playing softball and is proud to be an accomplished singer and dancer.
