She may be one of the hottest models on the planet, and one of the most downloaded girls on the Internet, but Marisa Miller knew she had arrived when she achieved her latest goal: She spoke.
That's the 26-year-old Miller you see in the latest round of Victoria's Secret television spots, sharing the stage with Heidi Klum.
"Usually it's just wind and hair and cleavage, but yes, this time I had lines, and with Heidi, who's such a pro and someone I've looked up to for years/ says Miller of the ads, which debuted in August.
Indeed, this quintessential California girl—she grew up in Santa Cruz—is riding quite the wave of late. This season, she was spotted in an episode of that testosterone-heavy HBO hit, Entourage, playing herself on a photo shoot with director Brett Ratner (the X-Men helmer requested Miller for the scene), and she's also signed on to be the face of Bath & Body Works, the beauty retailer owned by the same company that oversees Victoria's Secret. Fold in her work for the lingerie megabrand, and you can't help but wonder: With such a frenzied schedule, is this devout surfer girl regretting her time away from the waves? "Not a chance," Miller says, adopting the appropriate Zen attitude. "I have to focus on what I can accomplish now, but it's okay," she says. 'The waves will always be there."
As for her next accomplishment, Miller will take center stage at the 2007 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which tapes next month at the Kodak Theatre in LA. This will be her first fashion show for Victoria's Secret, and Miller looks forward to strutting her stuff alongside fellow supermodels Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, Selita Ebanks, Karolina Kurkova, Adriana Lima and Izabel Goulart, among others. The show will air December 4th at 10 p.m. on CBS.
